Marinsa joins the Clean-Up Day at the Chucté Ecopark

Marinsa joins the Clean-Up Day at the Chucté Ecopark
Last Saturday, August 30, the volunteer team from Marinsa, Navica and Presco, made up of more than 41 collaborators, synergistically led the cleaning day at the Chucté Ecopark, a 25-hectare natural space located at Km 12 of the Carmen-Puerto Real highway, adjacent to 12 hectares of mangrove area.
Thanks to the collaboration of Marinsa and its outstanding team of volunteers, together with the member companies of Aliarse por Campeche, we were able to collect organic waste for composting, thus contributing to the preservation and protection of this valuable ecosystem.
Furthermore, we extend our gratitude to the President of Aliarse por Campeche, Ms. Lourdes de los Ángeles Solís Sierra, for the invitation to contribute our knowledge to this project; to Ms. Janini Guadalupe Casanova García, Director of Environment and Sustainable Development, for all the support in achieving the campaign; and to Biologist Edgar Dodero Ordinola, Coordinator of Chucté Park, for opening the doors of the Ecopark to us. This activity is aligned with the company's sustainability objectives, aligning our strategy with the SDGs:
Mangrove conservation helps protect coastal communities from phenomena such as flooding and erosion, promoting sustainable urban and rural environments.
SDG 13: Climate Action
Mangroves are carbon sinks that help mitigate the effects of climate change. The conservation and protection of these ecosystems contributes to the fight against global warming.
SDG 14: Life Below Water
Mangroves are critical ecosystems for marine and coastal biodiversity, providing habitats for many species and helping to maintain the health of the oceans.
SDG 15: Life on Land
The protection and restoration of mangroves contributes to the conservation of biological diversity and terrestrial and coastal ecosystems in general.
SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals
This objective emphasizes the importance of strengthening partnerships and collaboration between governments, the private sector, civil society, and communities to effectively implement strategies that contribute to sustainable development, including the protection of ecosystems such as mangroves.
We continue working together for a cleaner and more sustainable Campeche!
