OUR HISTORY

1963

José Luis Zavala Navarrete, a blacksmith from Ciudad del Carmen, begins manufacturing steel shrimp boats.

1972

VARADEROS ZAVALA is created for the repair and maintenance of vessels in the Gulf of Mexico.

2004

On September 24th, MARINSA was founded, with its main activity being the chartering of supply vessels to the oil industry.

2005

Start of operations with the supply ship PALIZADA.

2006

The vessel ISLA DEL TRIS is acquired for the transport of various materials.

2007

The supplier CAMPECHE is integrated into the fleet.

2008

The following vessels join the fleet: CALAKMUL, CARMELITA, PUNTILLA and GUANAL.

2009

The TILA launch and the PALO DE TINTE supply vessel are added to the fleet.

2010

The boats ATASTA and ZACATAL join the fleet.

2011

The YELLOWFIN fast passenger vessel (FSV) joins the fleet for new contracts.

2012

The fast boats (FSV) BLUEFIN and REDFIN join the fleet.

2013
  • The first project contract with Pemex was obtained with the specialized ship STANFORD GOSHAWK, starting a new era of business and projects.
  • Incorporation of 8 ships under contract with Pemex for the production, transport and conditioning of drilling muds (mud carriers).
2014

The PSV PERLA DEL GOLFO is included in the fleet.

2015
  • Incorporation of the PSV DP1 MARIS and CALETA.
  • Marinsa USA Foundation.
2016

Three new vessels are added to the fleet: LAGUNA AZUL, TENABO and ENERGY.

2017

The PSV CARMEN III is acquired, increasing the company's fleet of specialized ships.

2018
  • The PSV ATALAYA is acquired to strengthen the operation of specialized services.
  • Incorporation of the tugboats ARCÁNGEL SAN GABRIEL and SAN RAFAEL.
  • The MPSV LAGUNERO arrives, a multipurpose vessel with a 100-ton crane on deck.
  • STIM STAR MEXICO management begins for Halliburton.
2019
  • Drilling operations begin with the PAE Uxpanapa, at the Xikin 22 well.
  • Drilling operations begin with the PAE Jap Driller 1 at the Xikin 45 well.
2020
  • Drilling operations begin with the PAE Uxpanapa at the Xikin 24 well.
  • Drilling services at the Uchbal-11 well with the PAE Jap Driller 1.
2021

Drilling services at the Uchbal-11 well with the PAE Jap Driller 1.

2023

MARINSA BRASIL is created. The first campaign of the MPSV PUERTO REAL begins in Rio de Janeiro, carrying out the laying of submarine cable.

2024 2004

The second campaign of the MPSV PUERTO REAL begins in Brazil.

Delivery of the vessel ISLA DE TRIS to UNIFIN.

Market entry in the Caribbean: GUYANA, SURINAME, TRINIDAD & TOBAGO.

Integration of ships with specialized services to PEMEX: Inspector, GyG and Maintenance.
